Margaret E. Russell, age 94 of Pennsville died Saturday June 17, 2017 at the Friends Village at Woodstown. She was born in Salem and was the daughter of Mary winters. Margaret was a 1940 graduate of Salem High School. She was a longtime Pennsville resident. Survived by her children, son, John Russell of Fairway, KS, daughter Susan Russell and son-in-law, David Spenard of Washington, DC, cousin, Doris Leonard of Richmond, VA. Predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Russell, Jr., (2007). She enjoyed cooking for friends and family, reading the latest popular fiction, watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard, traveling throughout the US and Canada with her husband following his retirement. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday June 23, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Pennsville Public Library, S.
