Virginia C. (Lyons) Snyder, 80, formerly of Curtisville, West Deer Township, entered into the courts of Heaven on October 30, 2016 at her daughters home in Pennsville, NJ. Born March 8, 1936 in Erie, Virginia had lived in Curtisville for the past 43 years before moving to Pennsville, NJ. She was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, Fawn Township where she was a member of the sewing guild and the quilt guild. She also served on many church committees. Virginia was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her husband, children and family. She was also an extended Mother and Grandmother to many neighbors and friends in both the community and her church. Virginia exemplified her faith by Loving the Lord her God with all her heart and her neighbors as well. Survivors include her daughter Kathy A. (Carlton) Bodine, with whom she has been living with since August, her son Richard D. (Linda) Snyder of Tarentum, grandsons Matthew Morelli, Carlton Bodine, III, Austin Snyder, Bryan (Leah) Bodine and Ross (Christina Disiena) Snyder and a great granddaughter Savannah Disiena. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Snyder, Jr. on January 8, 2001 and her brother Ronald D. Lyons. Friends and family are invited for a visitation from 9 am until the time of the service at 10 am in the Center United Methodist Church, 1575 Donnellville Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 in Fawn Township, with the Rev. C. Drew Myers, and her son-in-law the Rev. Carlton Bodine, Jr. officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer with the assistance of Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her name to the Center United Methodist Church Building Fund or Compassionate Care Hospice 261 Connecticut Drive Suite 1 Burlington, NJ 08016.
