Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert L. Sweet of Pennsville, formerly of Saxton, PA passed away Saturday 07-May at home, two weeks shy of his 94th birthday. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Joan G. Sweet; children Stephen (deceased) and his wife Karen of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Robert Jr. of Pennsville, Rebecca of Pottstown, PA and Jennifer Sweet-DeVice and her husband Frank of West Grove, Pa, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sweet was a Navy veteran of WWII. He retired in 1968 after 31 years of service with Atlantic City Electric Company in station operations. Bob's passions included his large backyard vegetable garden and regaling everyone, especially his grandchildren, with tales of his days growing up in Saxton. In his younger days he enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He could repair just about anything and was a fine woodworker. Special thanks to his devoted caregiver of 4 years, Linda Mosely, as well as the many neighbors and friends who socialized with and looked after him in these last few years. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. We all love you very much Dad; will miss you forever.
